Leaves are Changing, Even if the Temperature Aren't

Fall Colors

I always enjoy taking a short drive into the mountains and enjoy the splendor of Mother Nature. Despite the long drought that we have been experiencing the last two months, the experts that know about leaf color tell us that it’s likely to be a good year for color in both Carolinas.  The annual fall foliage prediction map provided by smokeymountains.com predicts our area will see peak colors around the first week on November.  In the higher elevations like Asheville, you can enjoy the leaf colors in early to mid-October.  However, if the hot weather continues, peak colors will be a little later than in previous years. So, get ready for some fall colors, Earthlings!
